Hermes of Roquepertuse (sketch completed with horns or ears ?)

statue found at Holzgerlingen with horns

The Hermeslike statue found at Holzgerlingen, now exhibited at the Landesmuseum Stuttgart is a double faced Herme, which may be comparable to the Hermes of Roquepertuse.
The horns (or ears ?) are special features, which may clearly be identified in this 230 cm high sculpture.

There is another Hermeslike sculpture found in Roquepertuse, which probably may be a Celtic deity as well. The horns (or ears ?) however are not clearly identifyable. They are broken in the middle. I made a sketch to imagine how this sculpture may have been created as a horned (or eared) deity of the same type as the Holzgerlingen type:

The original photographs of the sculpture at Roquepertuse will explain the damage done to the sculpture (probably at the attacks of the Roman army):

I also designed a coloured version of the androgynous, horned Hermes of Roquepertuse.
The original had been coloured red with black eyes...
